**What you'll do**
- Manage and engineer the company's global Relational Database solutions
- Ensure and enhance the integrity of our mission-critical data offering
- Innovate and take responsibility for the database environment
- Troubleshoot and support the databases as part of a global team of DBAs
- Work closely with other teams to improve and enhance the estate
- Immerse yourself in critical database projects
- Make and implement recommendations to prevent reoccurring issues and automate manual processes
- Interface and communicate with all levels of the business, up to and including the CTO

**You should have**
- 5+ years' experience as a Database Administrator in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB
- Exposure to other similar RDBMs' (Sybase, Postgres, Oracle or DB2) and/or MongoDB
- Solid experience of database management activities, performance tuning, estate improvement planning and implementation
- Complex database replication topology support
- Installation, migration and upgrade experience
- Backup, Restore, HA and DR skills
- Database performance tuning
- Stored Procedures and SQL writing
- Engines: Innodb, Blackhole, Columnstore
- UNIX scripting skills. Strong knowledge of at least one of bash, ksh, perl, ruby, python
- Awareness of production change management processes and procedures
- Use of and migration to a database cloud environment solution
- Hong Kong or Singapore: a local resident
