Facilities Officer

**Responsibilities**
This role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Services. Your key responsibilities are as follow, but not limited to:
**Facilities Management**:
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance and functional operations of the school building.
- This includes the cleaning, waste disposal, security, parking, tree pruning, landscaping, and air-conditioning.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety and statutory requirements.
- Ensure that all grounds and facilities of The Winstedt School are in good, working, and safe condition.
- Handle all major ad-hoc facilities and renovation projects as tasked by the Management Committee.
- Reach out to possible external vendors and schedule campus visits to obtain quotations.
- Review quotations and recommend the most cost effective for the project.
- Liaise with contractors to develop workflow timelines, milestones, and communicate with staff as needed.
**Inventory Management**:
- Liaise and negotiate with vendors for the purchasing school materials including teaching aids, stationery, furniture, and uniforms.
- Collaborate with Finance team to ensure purchases are kept within budget and are allocated as needed.
- Handle requests from staff and release resources and stationery to staff.
- Handle uniform orders from parents and delivering a satisfactory experience to our parents.
**Workplace Safety and Health**:
- Ensure that all WSH Policies and procedures are adhered to MOM requirements and the policies of The Winstedt School.
- Ensure periodic checks on safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, hoses, switch board, and alarms.
- Liaise with external agencies that provide facilities services such as security system, Singapore Land Authority, and utilities companies.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree in Facilities or Estates Management
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in Facilities or Estates Management
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, able to work independently and enjoy working in an agile team
- Meticulous, organised, and able to multi-task
- Good team player and ability to work with both internal stakeholders and external service vendors/ contractors
- Physically fit to carry out inspection, audits, or site assessments
