- Dry Cargo chartering is a varied and complex market involving more than three billion tonnes of cargo each year. Our experienced team based in 15 countries acts as a vital link between charterers and shipowners who need to transport the goods required by a growing global population.
- Role Summary
- The main purpose of an Operations Executive is to support the efforts of the team’s brokers. Your role requires operational and administrative services, working closely with the Charterers/Owners and Brokers to ensure timely facilitation of information and entering fixtures/ transactions onto the relevant in-house system.
- Ideally, you will have at least 1-2 years Dry Cargo operations experience and possess team spirit.
- What you will be doing- Monitoring vessel movement to ensure smooth operational process
- Liaising with Charterers/Owners and Brokers to ensure timely facilitation of information
- Learning and understanding shipping documents, laytime terms and statements
- Understanding of typical Dry Bulk charter parties, contracts, demurrage/claims calculations
- Consult our Brokers in anticipation of possible operational matters
- Offering advice and guidance to clients to resolve and avoid disputes
- Other ad-hoc operations duties as and when assigned

**Job Requirement**
- What we are looking for
- Key Attributes- Possess at least a Diploma/Degree majoring in Maritime studies or logistics
- Minimum 1-2 years working experience, in Dry Cargo operations with a shipping company
- Excellent written and oral English language skills
- Good telephone manner and strong communication skills are essential
- Mature, meticulous & well-organise
- Hands-on with a positive attitude
- Strong team player and able to work independently
- Flexibility in the workplace, including the willingness to work outside regular office hours

Special Job Requirements- Travel as required.
