The **Senior Database Developer - Postgres SQL** is expected to provide guidance to other developers that would be assigned to him/her in the course of the project. He/She must ensure the activities/processes performed follows strictly the development standards and processes as prescribed by in the IT governance.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Design, Develop, Test, Deploy and administer **Postgre Database on Cloud** infrastructure, with a focus on the performance, high availability and scale.
- Collaborate with Technical Chapter Lead, architecture, and release teams, providing architectural design recommendations, driving standards for set up of Postgres
- Administration of PostgreSQL databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.
- Develop and maintain database monitoring tools and automation systems
- Implement automated methods and industry best practices for consistent installation and configuration of PostgreSQL for production and non-production environments
- Efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security. Ensure code reviews are conducted.
- Provide support during SIT, UAT roll-out and post-production whenever needed.
- Ensure the project timelines are met within budget and with good quality.
- Ensure the standards per the Wealth management governance are followed at all times.
- Ensure all aspects of security are respected at all times during the course of work.

**Your Profile**:

- Atleast 7+ year experienced in database related activities in Banking related operations.
- Have experienced in creating extracting, transforming, loading, and enhancing objects to ingest structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources; implementing, maintaining and optimizing data warehouses; and/or gathering and implementing user requirements.
- Extensive Experience writing and executing scripts or programs using programming languages **(SQL or Python)** to manipulate - Store data in PostgreSQL & Oracle.
- Experience with all complex data models & database script across all database object types - tables, views, procedures, functions, triggers
- Having a good understanding of Data Warehousing architectural design principles and Data Storage Model approach covering Stage, Raw, Refined, History & Schema Evolution
- Having a good understanding of Dimensional Modelling design covering optimized, Transformed, Facts & Dimensions
- Basic Knowledge & Experience in Data Integration tool** ETL & ELT - Informatica, Apache Nifi extraction (API, Kafka, Direct) & Spark** based transformation
- Working experience on** Agile Methodology & DataOps** tools like **JIRA, Jenkins, BitBucket, Serena, Autosys**:

- Working knowledge of Unix / Linux operating system
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Good understanding of Wealth Management Products is a plus.
