Senior Vice President Finance, Global Forwarding

**Company Description**

Global Forwarding delivers cargo across our global network via road, rail, sea, and air. From loose cartons for consolidation and palletised cargo to moving dangerous goods and bulk commodities, we have the experience, the infrastructure, and the global network to get freight moving - across towns, across countries and across continents.

Reporting to the CFO, the SVP Finance is responsible for leading and embedding the overall financial strategy and management of Global Forwarding (GF) whilst maintaining effective systems, policies, and controls across all financial aspects of the division. The Head of Finance is a critical member of the GF Leadership Team and the Toll Finance Leadership Team.

The SVP Finance will:

- Drive, manage and improve all aspects of the GF finance function, such as accounting and financial reporting, planning, compliance, and financial control in a rigorous manner.
- Serve as a commercially astute thought leader with a global mindset, who brings deep insights and provides analytical approaches and provides input on key decisions.
- Participate in the future financial strategies that support the achievement of long-term strategic goals and short-term commitments with a focus on cash management and return on capital.
- Work with the business to develop innovative solutions across technology, systems, processes, and policies, and ensure effective use by the business.

**Qualifications**
- Solid understanding of financial investment evaluation and capital decision making.
- Commercially sound - understanding and ability to identify business risks. Balance between risk and reward.
- Strong understanding of financial and management accounting.
- Deep understanding of financial modelling, due diligence & post integration experience.
- Solid communication and analytical skills. Strong ability in business writing and ability to put together a comprehensive and well thought out business proposal/business case.
- Outstanding project management skills.
