**Job Summary**:The ROV Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of ROV operations and ensuring the safe and efficient use of remotely operated vehicles in various underwater projects. They manage a team of ROV technicians, operators, and engineers to ensure the successful execution of ROV projects.

**Responsibilities:
Technical Operations Management:

- Plan, organize, and supervise the daily technical operations of ROV projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ROV operations.
- Monitor and maintain ROV equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
- Manage the deployment and retrieval of ROVs, ensuring operational readiness
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.

Team Management and Training:

- Supervise a team of onshore support ROV technicians, operators, and engineers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the ROV team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide coaching to improve team capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Foster continuous professional development of the ROV team by staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

Project Planning and Execution:

- Collaborate with the ROV manager to develop detailed plans for ROV operations.
- Assess project technical requirements, including equipment needs, personnel, and timelines.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and provide technical input and recommendations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Liaise with clients and project stakeholders to provide technical updates and address any concerns.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

- Reporting directly to the ROV Manager
- Establish quality control procedures to ensure reliable and accurate ROV operations.
- Conduct inspections and repairs with audits to verify compliance with standards and specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, including maintenance records, and review incident reports to enable technical solutions
- Analyze operational data and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, marine technology, or related discipline). Advanced degrees may be preferred. Extensive control systema and control software experience.
- Extensive experience in ROV operations, including technical management roles.
- Minimum 5 years offshore experience
- MTSC AUV Superintendent Certification
- MTSC ROV Certification
- In-depth knowledge of ROV systems, equipment, and underwater technologies.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in troubleshooting ROV and Survey equipment and systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning.
