**Introduction**

The Head Barista effectively runs the day-to-day operations of the retail counter and bar,primarily in coffee while also creating other alcoholic and non-alchoholic beverages according torecipes provided. They will ensure that all beverages served are of the highest quality, trainingand mentoring junior team members, as well as maintain strong relationships with guests andsuppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming and assisting customerswith their orders
- Oversee the venue’s specialty coffee and tea program, including procurement, researchand development of seasonal offerings
- Create non-alcoholic and alcholic beverages according to recipes provided
- Work closely with coffee roasters and beverage partners, ensuring constant, stable andquality supplies of specialty coffee beans and beverage supplies
- Manage food retail counter (gelato and finger food), providing takeaway services as wellas supporting food delivery operations
- Train and mentor junior team members on coffee knowledge and customer servicestandards
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages
- Follow health and safetyguidelines to ensure food safety and sanitation

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or coffee/bar related role
- Good understanding of restaurant operations and budgets
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Experience in pre-opening operations is a bonus
