Software Support Sales Representative
The Software Support Sales Renewal Representative (SSR) is the primary point of contact for anything related to software maintenance renewals in their designated accounts territory. The SSR is an integral part of the Software Services organization focused on **_renewing_**_ _**_software_**_ maintenance contracts,_** up-selling and up-lifting maintenance plans for customers and maximizing total revenue for Software Services. The position requires multiple skill sets ranging from contract review, negotiation and proactive account planning to position upselling. The SSR must also have experience in closing business on time, cross-selling services, understand general accounting principles and ensuring that maintenance revenue is protected and maximized. Relationships must be established with partners, support sales manager, license sales, contract ops, sales ops, credit & collections and legal teams.
**Key** **Responsibilities**
- Achieve/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota targets
- Effectively manage pipeline and provide timely and accurate forecasts
- Work closely with Support Sales Manager to deliver on sales strategy
- Maintain up-to date knowledge of our services portfolio (for your allocated territory) to maximize sales potential
- Act as primary point of contact for distributors, partners, customers and internal sales teams regarding questions relating to renewal pricing, Software product migrations, policies, etc
- Maximize revenue by minimizing product cancellations for renewals
- Create, maintain and implement an up-sell plan for all assigned accounts to meet customer needs and maximize revenue
- Participate in the negotiation of terms and conditions as necessary for renewal agreements
- Participate in continual process improvements and recommend best practices for the team as applicable
- Interact as required with cross functional organizations on a worldwide basis such as Product Management, Technical Services, Legal, Finance and management to ensure Software Services objectives and goals are met
Establish effective working relationships with the entire Field Sales Organization with the goal of cross-selling portfolio offerings across Software Services to enhance customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience Required
- First level university degree with recommended focus in business or finance.
- Typically 2-4 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required.
- Experience with contract management, sales and negotiation experience
- Some channel experience preferred
- Experience in business and contract negotiations within the IT industry including multi
- product sales
- Proven track record of quota achievement - ability to open conversations and close deals
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in education and work experience
- Ability to work independently
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to work well with other internal organizations in a team environment
- “Can do” attitude who can aggressively pursue opportunities
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work effectively under tight deadlines in fast changing environments
