**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Strategy**
- Strategically develop and grow the ASEAN Rates business
- Manage the implementation of trading strategies
- Manage risks arising from the servicing of client flow.
- Work with allied desks like sales, structuring, research and strategy to develop new products, strategies and trade ideas as and when opportunities arise
- Increase SCB’s visibility and mindshare for our clients globally
- Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model, appropriate to the role
- Drive RWA optimisation to improve the overall FM product RoRWA
**Business**
- Achieve assigned full year budget as per annual objectives document.
- To focus on enhancing the delivery of ASA Macro products into the corridors, and to work with Sales/RMs to identify new prospects and client opportunities.
- To deepen existing client relationships through regular conversations on colour and trade ideas
- Build a strong network and develop adjacencies outside of Markets
**Processes**
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations. To embed Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process. Towards this, to effectively carry out the assigned role, if any, under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance. Ensure that the business meets its obligations the prevention of money laundering under Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations. Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review then to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policies and regulations
**People & Talent**
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people, and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
- Employ, engage and retain high quality people.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
**Risk Management**
- Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
- Ensure proper training and direction is provided and that internal limits, controls and regulations are adhered to.
- To ensure consistency with the Group’s Risk Management Framework.
- Instil a culture of compliance on regulatory, statutory and legal obligations
**Governance**
- Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group’s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.
- Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Lead the Malaysia Markets and ASA Macro Trading teams to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles, Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.

- Internal: Product and Sales partners, Relationship Managers, Credit and Market Risk Officers
- External: Key Clients, Regulators
**Other Responsibilities**
- Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in the Malaysia Markets and Macro ASA team and region- 15+ years experience in the financial markets industry
- Relevant experience in Cash Bonds, Interest Rates derivatives, FX Cash & Derivatives
