Dcs Project Engineer

A **DCS Project Engineer **for process automation in Singapore is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of DCS projects for clients in the process industry. This includes projects in a variety of industries, such as oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and Electronic. The role of a DCS Project Engineer is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They work closely with clients to understand their needs and requirements, and then develop and implement a project plan to meet those needs. DCS Project Engineers also oversee the procurement of all necessary equipment and materials and manage a team of engineers and other professionals to complete the project.

**Responsibility**

**Project planning**:

- The DCS Project Engineer is responsible for creating a comprehensive project plan. This involves defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. They need to establish a clear timeline, allocate resources, and set milestones for the project.

**Team leadership**:

- Assembling and leading a project team is a core responsibility. This includes hiring or assigning personnel, providing direction, and fostering collaboration among team members. The Project Engineer should also ensure the team adheres to safety and quality standards.

**Budget Management**:

- Managing the project budget is vital. The DCS Project Engineer must create and maintain a budget, track expenses, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the project remains within financial constraints. Managing the project budget and schedule. There is a need to work with vendors and suppliers. The Project Engineer is responsible for selecting and managing these third-party partners, ensuring they meet quality and timeline expectations.

**Quality management**:

- Ensuring the final system meets quality standards is paramount. This involves regular inspections, testing, and quality assurance measures throughout the project's lifecycle.

**Communicating with the client**:

**Requirement**
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in DCS project engineering in Chemical, O&G, Pharma industrial, Semicon.
- PMP or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of DCS systems, including both software and hardware, with knowledge of Emerson, Siemens, and Yokogawa DCS systems preferred.
- Proficient With Project Management Software. E.g., Microsoft project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
