Senior Manager, Investment Reporting

This role, reporting to the CFO, is responsible for leading and managing the fund accounting team within the Finance division, responsible for managing the Accounting Books and Records (ABOR) of the investment assets portfolio and related operational activities.

As the fund accounting department head, the role ensures timely and accurate financial, regulatory reporting for the assets within their remit to senior management, regulators, auditors and other relevant stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:
MAS regulatory reporting
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in MAS regulatory requirements
- Review regulatory returns
- Ensure robust controls are in place and aligned with governance and controls framework, including GL reconciliation, consistency across returns, and performing variance analysis
- Ensure team completes timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns
- Develop and maintain good understanding of MAS' regulatory requirements, and ensure regulatory changes are implemented accordingly:

- Performing gap analysis between current and new requirements
- Document interpretations, processes, assumptions
- Liaise with relevant areas (e.g IT) as well as third party vendors where required, to ensure setup, testing and implementation with changes
- Liaise and address queries from regulator, senior stakeholders, internal teams

Financial reporting
- Oversight the financial reporting process of investment assets and timely completion of deliverables
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting deliverables covering month-end closing, preparation of relevant reports (e.g GST, related party reporting), posting of journal entries, and reconciliations
- Determine and ensure appropriate accounting treatment and capture of transactions (e.g asset transfers, restructuring of portfolios, new instruments), required account setups for reporting, yearend adjustments that comply with accounting standards.
- Ensure robust controls are in place and aligned with governance and controls framework, including GL reconciliation, performing variance analysis
- Manage yearend closing and audit of insurance and ILP funds
- Ensure preparation of yearend deliverables and completion of book closing processes
- Liaise with other Finance teams as part of the end-to-end accounting book closing process, including preparation of annual report
- Liaise with auditors to complete financial audit requirements, which includes providing relevant information and documents, conduct walkthroughs and address queries

Operational support
- Manage and oversight the settlement related activities of ILP funds and internally managed portfolios, which includes
- ILP subscription and redemption orders processing, settlement and posting at fund level
- Ensure payments are validated and appropriate expenses are charged to the investment portfolios and ILP funds
- Handle settlement related activities (e.g asset transfers, arrange for funding and issue payment instructions, placement of CIS trades and match confirmation) that are flowing through investment related bank accounts held with custodian
- Oversight daily ILP NAV pricing calculated by the custodian - fund administrator team
- Manage the investment related accounts (securities and cash accounts opened with custodian and markets) '“ account opening, closing, dormant account review
- Manage market related requirements for investments in restricted markets (e.g manage the agreement renewals, China QFII audit and reporting, India and Taiwan tax agents)

Risk & Control
- Participate in inspections and audits by regulators and auditors (internal and external)
- As Risk Champion, drive team's culture, focus and adherence to controls, compliance with relevant policies and procedures, conduct reviews of current work processes and initiate process enhancement to strengthen the control environment.
- Ensure risk & control related deliverables (e.g RCSA, BCP, Compliance risk assessment) are completed in line with Income's framework.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Work with the business (e.g Investment Front Office, product team) to understand the appropriate business requirements and investment structure, products and strategy, so as to provide relevant support from fund accounting and finance perspective for investment transactions
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders (Investment Front office, Risk and Compliance, Actuarial) and key external parties (custodian and external fund managers, regulatory bodies) to resolve issues, address queries and ensure smooth day to day delivery of the work scope
- Oversight the custodian and outsourced functions, to ensure that the service provider delivers efficient, well governed and measured services
- Monitoring and reviewing critical metrics to ensure deliverables and service standards are met through regular service reviews and annual due diligence
