Care Corner Singapore Ltd was founded in 1981, in a climate of changes in the early 1980s, as economic competition in the region intensified and the rift between the wealthy and the lower-income in particular the Chinese blue-collar workers, widened.Rev Tan Tien Ser and a group of passionate individuals believed that these marginalised people with lower income and little opportunities for a formal education could be helped to realise their potential and become more competent and fulfilled persons. Through a series of early outreach initiatives, Care Corner has evolved into an organisation offering a wide range of programmes and services delivered through various social service centres located island-wide.In a bid to stay relevant to the needs of the community, Care Corner has continuously strived to offer new and innovative programmes to support those in need and the less privileged.

DESIGNATION : Assistant Programme Executive

- Be familiar with the ABC offerings of an Active Ageing Centre (AAC)
- Be able to perform a Community Screening assessment for seniors independently after training
- Assist to plan and implement elderly Enrichment /Engagement & Empowerment programmes for Active Ageing.
- Actively participate in seniors outreach and home visitations.
- Attend to enquiries and provide information and referrals to internal stakeholder and other relevant agencies.
- Perform administrative duties, e.g. accurate entry of membership data into database system, submission of claims to Finance, monitor and track attendance of seniors for events during the year, record of information and referral, befriending reports, outreach and membership data for the month etc
- Cultivate strong relationships with community stakeholders, beneficiaries and volunteers to help the AAC thrive in the community.
- Be part of team to ensure the Centre operates with good governance and stewardship.

**Requirements**:

- Preferably with some relevant working experience, preferably in an Elder Activity Centre and/or have volunteered previously in the seniors sector
- Good interpersonal and communication skills - be able to do public speaking
- Good administrative and organizational skills
- Passionate about serving the elderly
- Proficient in IT
- Dynamic, quick-thinking, adaptable & responsive to change
- A team player & equally adept at working independently

QUALIFICATIONS

ITE/Diploma in relevant disciplines such as Community Care and Social Service, Gerontology, and other relevant fields in Social Science. Or relevant qualifications in working with older persons or in the social service sector.
