**Job purpose**
- Advise UHNI and families on all aspects of their wealth and business succession planning including where the asset basket/family is spread across geographies, and on asset protection.
- Prior experience in working for funds, fund managers and/or indulging in cross border structuring and/or tax planning.
- Advise on relative legal and tax issues that emanate from private wealth planning, presenting clients with a comprehensive and seamless solution.
- Advise clients on how to best execute business strategies, projects and transactions in a tax-efficient manner.
- Support the legal function of the organization towards preparation and review of several documents concerning its business activities across jurisdictions.
- Meeting with prospective clients to understand their requirements and provide relative legal solutions.
- Working with colleagues as well as external advisors to deliver integrated legal, regulatory and tax advisory services.
- Provide timely and effective responses to client objectives, needs and concerns.
- Research on complex legal and tax issues.
- Work within a team environment to deliver integrated family office services to our clients.
- Preparation of responses/presentations to/for various time-sensitive client requests and planning opportunities.
- Gathering documents and information from clients for purposes of proposing suitable structures, setting up entities under the structure, coordination between various stakeholders, etc.
- Maintaining records and complete documentation in respect of the client structures, instructions, etc. towards the knowledge management database.
- Efficient research skills, eye for detail and keenness to learn.
- Understanding of the general principles of law and tax, specifically relating to trust law, corporate law, direct and indirect taxes.
- Prior experience in working for funds and/or indulging in cross border structuring and/or tax planning.
- Execution of the structures i.e., working with service providers to obtain competitive fee quotes.
- Networking with law, accounting or other firms and assist in creating an internal database of external advisors, that can be relied upon for legal/other advice.
**Qualifications**
- 6 to 9 years of relevant experience
- Degree in Law
