Mechanical Engineer

Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We are a leading consultancy within Singapore and due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer & Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Built Environment team.

You’ll be part of a dynamic and progressive team who is looking to continue to work on some of the most iconic, interesting and innovative projects ensuring they have a long lasting positive social impact. Some of the award-winning and iconic projects we have locally completed or are currently involved in include: Star at Vista Exchange, NTU Innovation Centre, Galaxis, Apple Flagship Marina Bay, Changi Jewel, Changi Airport Terminal 5, BCA Academy Super Low Energy Building, and Big Tech.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to support local and international projects and will work closely with our multidisciplinary engineers and consultants across our network. You’ll be supporting a growing number of projects and liaising directly with teams across the Built Environment, Advisory, Transport, Water and Energy sectors.

**The Opportunity**
- Contribute and/or lead the delivery of projects and ensure technical deliverables are on-time and within budget.
- Play an active role contributing to technical excellence in our Mechanical Practice.
- Design of mechanical systems including air conditioning, mechanical ventilation, fire protection services and sanitary systems.
Utilise working in the building information modelling space to undertake engineering calculations and design. E.g. automation and computation design.
- Think and work globally in partnership with regional and international teams across MM.
- Be an advocate of sustainable and smart buildings design.

In addition, you will get the opportunity to participate in business development activities, and financial management. Mott MacDonald is actively pushing the boundaries in our digital solutions, and part of the role will be to ensure that we continue to integrate digital solutions into the way we deliver our work.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and or related field.
- Working towards professional or chartered engineering status.
- Understanding of local regulatory and code requirements.
- Motivated and enthusiastic with a growth mindset.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex issues and concepts clearly, succinctly and with influence.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- A strong digital solutions drive with an interest and enthusiasm for sustainability.
- Commercially astute with good client facing acumen who is open to new ideas and innovation.
