DESIGNATION : Cloud DevOps Engineer, SG

RESPONSIBILITIES

**Position Description**

**Responsibilities**:

- Working closely with technical lead and solution architect to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve DevOps CICD Pipelines.
- Proactively monitor and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and architecture simplification for the platforms
- Write good quality procedures and technical documentation in a growing Knowledge Base that is shared throughout the company.
- Establish performance and utilization metrics and proactively monitor the utilization of the resources.
- Work with peer DevOps engineers, and strive toward teamwork, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Build monitoring and reporting capability to identify inconsistent consumption against expected models.
- Monitor and detect unexpected spikes in consumption across cloud resources to identify non-budgeted expenses.
- Contribute to creating, maturing, and governing cost optimization policies and best practice
- Identify opportunities and develop plans to deliver optimizations that improve our overall cloud cost efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in IT, DevOps, and Automation/Engineering roles.
- Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS, including but not limited to: Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Automation Accounts, Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Data Factory, Application Service, Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, cost reporting, and cost optimisation at scale in Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of Savings/Discount plans, Reserved Instances, chargeback reporting, show back, and spend control.
- Strong scripting skills e.g., PowerShell, CLI, Bash and Python.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with ARM Templates, Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience working with Cloud Platforms (Microsoft Azure and/or AWS)
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Cloud cost management strategies, programs, and initiatives.
- General purpose software development skills in C# and/or Python.
- Experience working with agile delivery methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban.
