IT System Engineer

Our Client is an IT MNC Company. The role of an IT System Administrator (Japanese Speaking) is responsible for the IT security support and configuration of company and group companies, acting as key support to clients and internal teams in the APAC region.
- This is a multi-tasking position that also entails log management and technical support for customers and vendors.
- 【What will you be working on】- Support the standardization and integration of information systems across group companies, ensuring alignment and coherence.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in cybersecurity and update vulnerabilities in information systems across group companies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct logging management and analysis as necessary.
- Provide support in investigating cyber incidents.
- Monitor and maintain system metrics dashboards and alerts.
- Collaborate with the tech team at the Japanese headquarters to advance operations.
- Monitor security events and respond accordingly, implementing appropriate measures as necessary.
- Implement vulnerability management programs, conducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to enhance security.
- Effectively respond to security incidents, minimizing their impact.
- Develop security policies and ensure proper implementation and compliance.
- Design and implement network security measures to strengthen defences.
- Evaluate, implement, and operate vulnerability scanning tools and security tools to maintain security infrastructure.
- Enhance cloud security through the implementation and monitoring of security policies.
- Promote social engineering and phishing countermeasures to raise employee security awareness.
- Provide security training for users, educating them on security policies and procedures.

**Requirement**:

- 【What they're looking for】
- (Must)- At least 5 years of extensive experience in IT-related fields.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 and above) listening/speaking/writing is essential for smooth communication with Japanese-speaking counterparts.
- Experience in managing local network equipment and servers at business sites.
- Experience with IaaS platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Advanced knowledge of malware analysis, system security architecture, and security solutions.
- Understanding of possible attack vectors (network reconnaissance probing/scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, MITM attacks, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, Data Leakage Prevention, and SIEM.

(Preferable)- Experience with Security Incident and Event Management Systems (SIEMS) and Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP).
- Experience in monitoring and responding to security events, conducting vulnerability management, penetration testing, and implementing security incident response processes.
- Experience in developing and implementing security policies.
- Experience in network security design and implementation.
- Experience in evaluating, implementing, and operating vulnerability scanning tools and security tools.
- Experience in enhancing cloud security by implementing and monitoring security policies.
- Experience in promoting social engineering and phishing countermeasures.
- Experience in providing security training.
- Experience in acquiring security-related industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).**English Level**:
