**Responsibilities**:

- Involves in material planning, material ID coding and creation as well as material cost control for projects
- Liaises with Project Management Team (PMT), Engineering Design Office (EDO), QA/QC Department, Production Departments and coordinate with Purchasing & Stores (P&S) Department on material and equipment requirements for projects.
- Involves in the preliminary sourcing of long lead time materials and equipment
- Assists in sourcing special materials as and when assigned
- Solicits and analyses quotations for long lead-time items for project as and when assigned.
- Coordinates with suppliers and expedite orders to ensure the timely material and equipment deliveries that meet project requirements.
- Monitors and report the delivery progress of the material and equipment.
- Updates project procurement status report regularly and make these updated reports accessible to all Project Management Team members
- Attends PMT meetings and co-ordinate with Purchasing Officers and Stores Officers any urgent purchasing and/or logistics requirements
- Highlights urgent and/or delayed materials and equipment that requires immediate attention of PMT.
- Observes, practise and comply with the company’s Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies, Procedures and Regulations.
- Counsels vendors and subordinates, if necessary to ensure they observe and practise the company’s HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Complies with the Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) plans of respective projects
- Any other tasks and responsibilities as and when assigned.
- Seniors Material Planning Officer / Material Planning Executive - to guide any new/ inexperienced Material Planning Officer to understand and to better perform their tasks.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma in engineering / material management / business administration preferred.
- Equivalent working experience in material planning function with lower education qualification is acceptable
- 3 years (for Diploma Graduate) or 5 years (for non-Diploma Graduate) of procurement or material planning with minimum of 2 years’ experience in supervisory level, preferably in the Marine and Offshore Industry
- Resourceful with very high level of honesty and integrity. Must be, tactful, co-operative, pleasant and dependable. Has initiative and hold information in the strictest confidence. High degree of alertness and attentive to details with a strong ability to work under pressure.
