- Description:

- **Assist HOD and supervise a team of technicians in delivering technical advice/ support to the various business units**:

- **Actively involved in job estimation and WIP (Work-In-Progress) tracking**:

- **Work with engineering support section on product design, tester design, maintenance service and implement hardware and software components to integrate into in-service systems**:

- **Manage and supervise the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) tasks allocated to the section in supporting commercial products, company's proprietary and non-proprietary Army products**:

- **Deliver allocated and ad-hoc tasks within stipulated timeline and cost**:

- **Understand the concept of Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) tools such as FMEA so to achieve improvement in MRO effectiveness, reduced manpower requirements and minimized life cycle cost**:

- **Conduct and lead failure investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, research, studies and make necessary recommendations**:

- **Submit investigation reports to relevant authority for approval**:

- **Generate documents and engineering process plans to ensure operation requirements and safety standards are maintained**:

- **Participate in Customer meetings to gain insights to their needs and expectations, translating these requirements into deliverables where feasible**:

- **Responsible for the training of technicians; planning, assigning, and directing work to a group of technicians; appraising, addressing complaints and resolving conflicts**:

- **Perform other related duties as assigned**

**Job Requirements**:

- **Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronic Engineering**:

- **Experience in Component MRO in related industries**:

- **Experience in effectively leading a team of Technicians**:

- **Experience in SAP System is advantageous**:

- **Knowledge in Army systems will be an added advantage**:

- **Ability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets**:

- **Strong technical skills in troubleshooting Engine, Transmission or Gearboxes**:

- **Competent in Mechanical/Mechatronic system**:

- **Familiar with components testing**:

- **Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawing and datasheets**:

- **Good communication skills and a strong team player**:

- **Able to work under pressure and tight timeline**:

- **Good analytical and problem-solving skill**:

- **Able to read Manual and Engineering Drawing for any re-engineering work required
