Job Scope:
1. Spearhead operational directives for the food production unit.

2. Develop procurement network of premium spices from South-east Asia and the regions. Have strong regional/global contacts for procurement and supply.

3. Able to develop and prepare pre-mix blend of dry masala for Kuruma Masala, Garam Masala, Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Dhal Mix, Rasam Powder, Sambar Masala, Briyani Masala, Kaara kolambu Mix, Idli Podi, Pongal Premix, Gulab Jamun Premix, Rasagulla Premix, Waffle Premix, Satay Dry Spice, Beef Keema and Mutton Keema Dry Spice, Ikan Bilis Sambal Dry Mix, Ginger Ale Mix, General Spice Mix.

4. Possess culinary skills to test out spice mix and prepare for taste testing and customer sampling.

5. Establish strong customer communication to acquire feedback for spice blend mix adjustments and measures.

6. Determine spice mixes packaging sizes and method of packing, including procurement of equipment for specialised packing and sorting.

7. Able to design packaging designs and information for packaging, work with the marketing team.

8. Manage cleanliness schedules and work as a team with the staff on-site for daily opening, closing, scheduled and preventive maintenances, and cleaning duties.

9. Able to operate large scale machinery for spice mixing like tumblers, vacuum sealing machines, etc.

10. Able to manage Halal sourcing and be part of the Halal team.

11. Provide optimal customer service standard adhering to regulatory requirements (hygiene, safety) and company standards.

12. Operate the Inventory management system to manage all incoming and outgoing materials from facility.

13. Coordinate with the IT Executive (Inventory System) on fault reports, downtime and upgrades.

14. Ensure Production KPIs are evaluated, met and reported.

15. Conduct daily closing and financial reporting for day close, expense report, weekly report and monthly report.

16. Prepare financial reports, Income and Expense Reports at the end of the month for office team validation.

17. Provide timely and regular feedback on market spices availability, and procurement from various countries to support growth and expansion.

18. Reports to the Director.

Skills Required/ Soft Skills:

- Possess experience working in an Indian spices production facility.
- Possess strong network in spices procurement.
- Able to work on weekends (including Saturday and Sunday)
- Possess culinary skills to be able to do spice mixes and sampling.
- Able to lift up to 40 kg (cartons/sacks)

Educational Qualification:
Degree (preferably in F&B, Culinary Skills) or more than 8 years experience in the field.

Years of Experience:
At least 5 years working in a related position dealing with Indian spices.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Strong network in procurement.
- Possess culinary skills in spice mixing R&D and sampling cooking.
- Able to commit to work on weekends.
- Experience in spice-related R&D positions.
- Able to lift heavy cartons/sacks up to 40kg at a time.

Working Condition:

- Production Facility/ Warehouse/ Dry Store
- Work on weekends, 6 days work week
- Strong spice smelling area

Specific Training Requirements:
Basic Hygiene Cert is a must, if not we will send for training

Remunerations:
Annual: 7 Days Annual Leave (for first year), 14 days Medical Leave, 60 Days Hospitalisation Leave
