**1.**Technical Pre-sales Role**
- Work closely with sales and marketing to support customer evaluations and decision-making (design-in stage)
- Provide roadmap/new product/technical update, proof-of-concept (PoC) guidance.
- Analyse customer needs and map them to suitable IoT solutions (e.g., sensors, modules, gateways, protocols).

**2. Customer Integration Support**
- Assist customers with hardware and firmware integration:

- Cellular & non-cellular modules
- Antenna and RF layout guidance
- Installation guidance
- Identify optimal sensor/gateway placements for maximum coverage and reliability
- Help with embedded software development, including:

- SDKs, AT commands, or AppZone (usually for cellular modules)
- Domain-expert in IoT protocols like MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, etc.
- Basic know-how on cloud connectivity (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, etc.)

**3. Testing & Debugging**
- Help customers debug issues during development and deployment:

- Connectivity problems (e.g. LTE bands, network issues)
- Firmware bugs or hardware misconfigurations
- Certification compliance (e.g., CE, FCC, other RF Certificates)
- Conduct RF performance validation, device benchmarking, and field testing.

**4. System Architecture Guidance**
- Recommend best practices for:

- Edge computing, data processing, over-the-air (OTA) updates
- Device-to-cloud architectures
- Security (TLS, encryption, secure boot)

**5. Post-Sales Support & Training**
- Support customers during product ramp-up stage
- Provide on-site or remote troubleshooting
- Conduct technical workshops or training for customer teams
- PCN update and RMA support

**Key Skills & Knowledge**:

- Wireless Technology: LTE, 5G, mmWave, Cat-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi
- Hardware: PCB design, RF layout, power optimization
- Firmware: AT commands, C/C++ SDKs, AppZone, MCUs
- Protocols: MQTT, CoAP, Modbus, TCP/IP, HTTPS
- Programming Language: Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Java
- Debug Tools: JTAG/SWD, UART tools, AT logs, Docker logs, MQTT payloads, REST APIs
- Cloud IoT: AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, private clouds
- Soft Skills: Customer communication, technical writing, training Typical Work Environment
- Split between field/on-site visits, remote support, and lab development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: sales, R&D, product managers, and customers.
- Common in industries like smart city, industrial IoT, healthcare, and smart utilities.
- Support RF certification within S.E.A region (e.g. IMDA/SIRIM/NBTC/NTC)

**Typical Work Environment**:

- Split between field/on-site visits, remote support, and lab development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: sales, R&D, product managers, and customers.
- Common in industries like smart city, industrial IoT, healthcare, and smart utilities.
- Support RF certification within S.E.A region (e.g. IMDA/SIRIM/NBTC/NTC)
