Our APAC Legal Team is growing and we want you to be part of it As a Senior Counsel reporting to the APAC Associate General Counsel, you will help our dynamic teams in APAC navigate through law enforcement, product, consumer protection / other regulatory issue for our growing business, and also plan and execute exciting and impactful marketing and brand campaigns that propel Airbnb to the forefront of global brand recognition.

**A Typical Day**:

- Act as legal point of contact for internal teams handling law enforcement inquiries and threat management.
- Advise on and drive cross-functional projects with product, engineering, local operations and business teams on a broad range of product compliance issues, including tourism, e-commerce, licensing, consumer protection, privacy and data security and industry-specific regulations
- Review and advise on product marketing material against local regulatory requirements
- Advise on, draft and negotiate commercial contracts and documents, including those required by our Marketing and Comms teams to execute major brand campaigns and activations in the APAC region and globally
- Advise on and manage the execution of various consumer contests in the APAC region and globally, drafting all necessary rules and T&Cs
- Deliver clear practical advice that enables business partners to achieve objectives while mitigating legal risk and keeping our community interests at the forefront.
- Effectively collaborate with international colleagues, whether in APAC or in the US, to provide globally aligned legal advice that appropriately balances local and global perspectives and needs
- Help design, implement and iterate legal department and compliance processes to keep up with growth
- Help manage team resources to align with business priorities and objectives
- Actively champion Airbnb’s mission, ethics and integrity

**Your Expertise**:

- Qualified in a major jurisdiction.
- 8+ year post-qualification experience, including ideally at least 3 years’ relevant in-house experience in a technology MNC, and knowledge and experience with issues law enforcement, as well as such as consumer protection, e-commerce, marketing and advertising, IP, licensing, corporate commercial, regulatory investigations, litigation and risk mitigation
- Comfortable with drafting contracts, including bespoke drafting (e.g. partnership, marketing contracts).
- Fluency (reading/writing/speaking) in English is essential
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in navigating matters independently and with maturity. A good team player who is considerate of others’ needs and priorities.
- Motivated, efficient, and organized with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Exceptional ability to consistently deliver creative, thoughtful and business-oriented results that appropriately balances business growth and legal risk
- Outstanding analytical, oral, and writing skills, including the ability to distill complex legal issues efficiently and effectively for a business audience, often in novel or ambiguous situations
- Excellent communication skills with capacity to advocate for a position while maintaining collaborative and open-minded approach
- Some international travel required
- Driven, high integrity, self-starting, adaptable, excellent judgment, strong sense of humour and love for adventure and fun
