Strategic Planner

**What a Strategic Planner does at HP**:

- Act as Consultant/Subject Matter Expert in the domains of planning and production to the broader HP and Manufacturing Partner (MPa) audience.
- Leads solution design for mid
- and long-term planning and production challenges based on deep business understanding.
- Leads planning and production Plan of Record, drives implementation according to plan, ensures alignment with relevant regional and global stakeholders
- Leads communication regarding MPa E2E planning and production performance during market share and quarter end.
- Leads planning and production business process documentation and Business requirement maintenance.
- Accountability for managing the optimal performance scoring considering Market Share and Revenue attainment, responsiveness, predictability and cost.
- Translate mutually agreed planning and production strategies into tactical and operational actions.
- Present choice points for planning and production business challenges; short-, mid
- and long-term
- Reduce MPa dependency on HP guidance.
- Coordinates multiple projects within a large scale program involving one or more functions driving the engineering development and implementation process for products or service offerings.
- Develops portions of support requirements for assigned project, including budgets, and resource allocation plans, in accordance with provided plan and specifications.
- Coordinates the activities of associated project teams; tracks progress against established plans, reports results, and makes recommendations for alterations or updates to program manager.
- Develops program communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating project and program plans.
- Leads resources across multiple projects.

**Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Planning, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-4 years experience.
- Solid operational planning and factory background.
- Solid understanding of various planning and production methods and tools like SAP
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Demonstrated understanding about the HP Print business and its priorities.
- Demonstrated presentation skills.
- Demonstrated project and process management t skills.
- Using project planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
- Understanding of organization and company product and service offering development process.
- Knowledge of project and program methodology, resource allocation plans, budgets, and requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options.
