COMPANY DESCRIPTION **BW Epic Kosan**owns and operates a fleet of about 47 modern and high quality fully pressurized, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals and other specialty gases. Our vessels serve as a crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading energy majors and commodity trading houses throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. DESIGNATION : CHARTERING MANAGER - SINGAPORE OFFICE RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a Chartering Manager who excels in navigating the fast-paced and dynamic international shipping markets. Do you thrive in such environment and enjoy tackling challenges on a global scale? **Key Responsibilities** - Together with the Team, execute day-to-day SPOT/TC/COA chartering & fixing of our GAS fleet with focus on the Eastern hemisphere - Working closely together with the global commercial team ensuring optimal fleet utilization and returns. - Responsible for servicing your assigned customers in accordance with our CARE values. Staying on top of our customers' needs and adapting to the constant changes in the markets where we operate. - Actively meet and engage with customers, brokers and market players to maintain and build relationships as well as expanding BWEK's business relations and opportunities. - Solving and addressing unexpected challenges swiftly, professionally and with a customer-focused & proactive mindset. - Together with Operations & Management, handle, coordinate and manage various types of claims such as performance, off-hire, demurrage and cargo ensuring BWEK's position, earnings and reputation are protected. - Engage and cooperate closely internally across Commercial, Technical and Finance departments. - Participate & engage in ad hoc departmental / cross-departmental work, projects, reporting as and when required. - Working alongside and in close cooperation with team members in Operations and Chartering as well as S&P & Business intelligence where needed. - Contribute with a "can-do" attitude, providing ideas & taking initiative / ownership to improve our way of working, systems and work processes. QUALIFICATIONS - Relevant educational background (bachelor level or similar, in maritime, shipping or logistics) and/or work-related qualification / experience from other owners, charterers, brokers, traders & Oil Majors within the industry. - Preferable minimum three years of experience in chartering and within the Tankers & Gas sphere. - Knowledge and mastering of commercial / legal terms used within the Gas & wider shipping industry. - Exceptional communication, proficiency in stakeholder management and negotiation strategies. - Fluency in English, written and spoken.
