Asset Management, Global Market Strategist, Vice

**JOB DESCRIPTION** The Team**:
The Global Market Insights Strategy Team (GMIST) runs an industry-leading program providing financial advisors and their clients, as well as institutional investors, with the tools and perspective they need to make more informed investment decisions. The program has two main objectives: 1) to position JPMorgan Asset Management as the preeminent provider of market and economic insight to financial advisors and their clients, and 2) to help our sales force in building lasting client relationships, gaining access to prospective clients and in creating distinct sales opportunities.

**The Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Processing and analyzing economic and financial market data to produce Guide to the Market Asia and associated research and publications.
- Conduct research and analysis on economic and financial market developments and generate investment recommendations.
- Present economic and market analysis, and investment recommendations, to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance or Economics or other related discipline
- Professional qualifications such as CFA charter holder is preferred
- A minimum of 8 years prior experience in Market Strategy from Asset Management firms or Financial Institutions
- Strong knowledge of the Asset Management business and well-versed in all asset classes
- Proficiency in coding and programming such as Python will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with data sources such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters, etc will be a plus
- Alongside fluent English, Mandarin, Thai and Bahasa Indonesia language skills would be a plus, as the job holder is required to support clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
- Strong communication skills in both writing and presentation, with the ability to communicate ideas or matters in a concise and meaningful way using stories or analogies
- Strong public speaking skills as there will be media exposure
