**New Challenge - Demolition Machine Driver**
**Van Vliet Asia Pte Ltd **are conducting a search for a **Demolition Machine Driver **with Demolition experience within the petrochemical, oil and gas sector to join our project team at Bukom Island.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring (or having ensured) the proper functioning of the equipment to be deployed;
- Responsible for driving large excavators.
- Responsible for maintaining and defect reporting for operational plant and equipment.
- Safe demolition of industrial structures up to a height of 40m.
- Breaking and removal of foundations to a depth of 4m.
- Responsible for segregation of waste materials including the separation of metallic grades of scrap metals i.e. light, heavy, ferrous & non-ferrous metals.
- Excavation of the soil in accordance with the execution plan and on the instructions of the person responsible for quality and/or the environmental supervisor;
- Preventing the risk of collapse of the excavation, e.g. by safe positioning of the excavator;
- Ensuring good communication with other operators and banksmen within the area.
- Proper operation and daily maintenance of the assigned equipment;
- Reports in case of unsafe situation, (near) accident, etc;
- Proper use and maintenance of tools, means of transport, machines, safety equipment and other devices;
- Attendance at daily briefings, HSE meetings and toolbox meetings.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in demolition, working within the petrochemical, oil and gas sectors.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in machine operating in industrial settings.
- Experience in demolition of structures up the height of 30m.
- Extensive experience in the safe use and maintenance of demolition attachments including but not limited to shears, pulverisors, selector grabs, and breakers.
- Operator training (SBW), e.g. operator of hydraulic excavator and/or certificate of competence operator mobile crane or equivalent (e.g. proven experience).
- Driving Licence
- Asbestos Awareness Training or similar (acting upon discovery of unexpected asbestos)
