Astek Asia is looking for **Data Analyst (SQL/Python) **to support our project based in **Singapore.
**Responsibilities**
- Proactively communicate with business users, understand business requirements to enhance the company’s investment strategies and/or policies.
- Perform data wrangling procedures to melt/reshape/pivot data frames for analytics purposes.
- Handle data analysis of structured and/or unstructured data for research purposes to model visualization, and evaluation of model performances.
- Provide Proof Of Concept (POC) analysis to validate and verify investment strategy ideas.
- Work directly with databases to query data for research purposes, where required.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years’ experience data management or data analytics preferably in investment and banking industry.
- Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
- Strong in SQL, python and visualization tool such as Tableu and PowerBI
- Prior experience with business intelligence will be a plus.
- Good team player, with strong analytical skills and enjoy complex problem solving.
