Position Summary:

- Align with Pfizer global standards, design and implement solutions for PCS - Process Control Systems and Enterprise systems for optimum control of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
- Manage and maintain efficient performance of the PCS (Process Control System), PLCs, Enterprise Historian (OSI PI), and other Enterprise systems
- Provide Automation support for successful product manufacturing, deployment of various technological solutions for enabling optimized manufacturing
- Participate in execution of site automation projects

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in Product Centric Teams (PCTs) for support in understanding and deployment of Unit Operations, production recipes on PCS, design of automation solutions to enhance productivity, business operations and safety/quality standards
- Troubleshoot automation control system issues in manufacturing operations. Participate in quality / safety investigations and implement optimal automation solutions resulting as CAPA from these investigations
- Participate as automation representative in capital projects involving automation systems interface for Equipment, Tank Farm, Waster Water, Production, facilities and utilities environment
- Periodically review and validate new automation systems and changes to existing site systems. Review, audit, improve and update existing system documentation and procedures
- Perform automation systems preventive maintenance, identify and address issues at control logic and recipe level, 3rd party interfaces with PCS, Enterprise Historian
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on Process Control System in conjunction with vendors
- Identify and address fundamental software issues across the Process Control System through knowledge sharing discussions
- Identify and address system level / architecture level issues
- Provide training to end users related to PCS (process control system)- Participate in the data management across integration of various Automation systems
- Team player with creative thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Chemical / Electrical / Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
- 2 years of experience in Process Automation, preferably in a batch manufacturing environment; Extensive knowledge and experience in process automation system, preferably in Emerson DeltaV.
- Technical Skills, Analytical Skills, Leadership, Communication Skills, Good team player
