**THE ROLE**

SAP Artificial Intelligence team in Singapore provides an open, modern working environment and the opportunity to become part of the global SAP community.

As part of the Artificial Intelligence team, you will work together with a team of dedicated experts including researchers, developers, devops engineers and architects with a single goal of building best machine learning pipelines for a variety of use cases. You will work against fixed timelines and your success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions matching the performance of top notch artificial intelligence systems. Your tasks include:

- Push the frontiers of what is possible in the area of machine learning so as to create new solutions
- Comfortably handle multi-terabyte data sets in scale-up and scale-out environments
- Strive for automation and cloud operation readiness
- Understand business processes which create and consume data to be able to select best approaches, evaluate their performance and assess business relevance
- Create excellence both in terms of results quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis, and refinement of the system implementation
- Communicate the relevance of implemented systems and achieved results in a visual and consistent way
- Performing quality assurance tasks
- Working together with partners and customers
- Solve complex integration issues

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**

**Required**
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, objects oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles
- Proficiency in at least two of the server/ client-side programming languages such as Java, Scala, Go, Python, node.js
- Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring, Play, AngularJS, Flask etc.
- Experience in designing & implementing RESTful API’s in a Microservice Architecture approach
- Hands-On experience in continuous integration and build tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, Maven, Gradle
- Understanding of security standards and secure development processes
- Experience with Agile & DevOps methodologies
- Experience with version control tools such as Git, Github will be an added advantage
- Strong desire to overcome obstacles and make your work benefit SAP's customers
- Excellent written and communication skills in English language

**Optional**
- Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and Kafka
- Hands-on experience in Shell Scripting, PowerShell
- Operational knowledge of Linux distributions such as Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, CoreOS
- Knowledge on open source cloud frameworks such as OpenStack, Cloudfoundry etc.
- Exposure to deployment and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals
