Deputy Director, Knowledge and Strategic Initiatives

Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is seeking an experienced programme director to help grow GCNS’ knowledge hub and strategic initiatives, including the annual GCNS Summit and Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards. To succeed in the role, you will be a highly motivated, strategic and organised professional with a passion for sustainability and building partnerships, and possess a learning mindset. You come with a blend of project management, programme design/curation and business development experience that enables you to define project vision and objectives, influence senior leaders and partners for support, and manage teams through execution. **Responsibilities**: **Knowledge Management**: - Set up knowledge management functions at GCNS and oversee all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing, translating and curating of knowledge assets - Provide sustainability trends and insights to other team members to enable relevant content creation and meaningful engagement with stakeholders - Build and collaborate with ecosystem partners to develop new industry insights - Localise UNGC global programmes and content **GCNS Flagship Events**: - Organise and manage the annual GCNS Summit from end-to-end. This entails all aspects of pre-event management (including crafting programme content, recruiting speakers, negotiating contracts, managing an internal event advisory committee) and on-site production - Engage with relevant government and corporates on funding opportunities **Community and Strategic Engagements**: - Build synergies with UNGC Headquarter and local networks, as well as other UN and NGO entities - Identify and support strategic opportunities to enhance GCNS’ visibility and value to members, including GCNS’ participation in regional and global events. - Drive engagement with ecosystem partners and trade associations and chambers (TACs) to identify collaboration opportunities. **Requirements**: - A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in sustainability-related roles and experience managing teams and owning a P&L - Strong understanding of sustainability issues and the SDGs. - Track record of initiating multilateral partnerships and maintaining positive relations - Prior experience in crafting programme content for conferences will be highly advantageous. - Experienced in organising large-scale conferences (>300+ pax) will be advantageous - Strong communicator (written and verbal) - Skilled contract negotiator with a track record of securing results within allocated budgets - Organised and meticulous.
