Senior Compliance Associate, Singapore

Moody's compliance function operates globally to provide compliance advisory support, training, and surveillance to its business lines. This role will be directly reporting to and working closely with the Senior Vice President, Compliance in Singapore and will be primarily responsible for providing managerial and technical support for execution of Compliance responsibilities for the region - ASEAN and Indian sub-continent.
- Support the broader Singapore Compliance team in meeting its supervisory obligations, including assisting in delivering timely responses on supervisory matters as they arise.
- Coordinate regulatory filings and scheduled reporting
- Develop an understanding of core reporting obligations and how they are met
- Support Singapore Compliance on Anti-Money Laundering related business advisory and regulatory matters - including updating Policy and Procedure as needed; day-to-day business advisory; supporting external and internal audits; support on preparation of training decks etc.
- Support Singapore Compliance team in responding to general day-to-day Compliance requests
- Contribute to various Compliance projects and initiatives
- Assist compliance officers with the production of management and board reporting
- Support compliance officers in preparing material for review and discussion in advance, and support preparation of staff for regulatory interaction
- Planning and executing compliance trainings to Singapore staff
- Supporting compliance efforts outside of jurisdiction and region as may be directed
- Performing other duties as may be instructed by management
- Bachelor degree or higher in business, law or other finance related discipline
- Qualifications or licenses in law, accounting or compliance are highly desirable
- More than 5 years in one of the following:

- Compliance Officer, or regulatory affairs, internal audit, or legal departments, or a combination thereof, in a global financial institution can be considered.
- Prior experience in the Monetary Authority of Singapore and/or law enforcement functions will be a plus
- In the practice of law, either as a licensed attorney, or foreign attorney practicing in an Asia Pacific jurisdiction. Legal experience in finance related sector is desirable.
- Considerable exposure to securities regulations and AML/financial crime prevention matters are advantageous
