Solutions Architect

**Your Role**:
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for working with our larger customers, partners, and global service integrators to understand their digital transformation needs and build out innovative and differentiated solutions that will help these organizations to simplify the management of their environment. You will need to understand the capabilities of SolarWinds software, the needs of our customers, partners and GSI’s, and facilitate a meeting of the two. You will work in a partnership with our sales team who will handle the commercial and legal requirements, while you focus on becoming a trusted advisor with our key customers, partners and GSI’s to earn their trust and deliver amazing results. To achieve results, you will need to be comfortable working with product specialist engineers, business unit resources, marketing, and product.

This position requires the ability to effectively perform detailed product demonstrations, during which you must effectively promote and architect product solutions, answer questions and clearly ascertain the needs and requirements of the audience. As a Solutions Architect, you must demonstrate broad and deep knowledge of the entire SolarWinds’ product portfolio. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 5 years relevant pre-sales experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build proof of concept (POC) solutions for customer evaluations as part of the sales engagement process. Customize prospect’s environment to meet all technical requirements to satisfy POC.
- Leverage the consultative sales process for prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation, as it applies to the technical sales process.
- Assist sales reps in offering product solutions that solve business needs and overcome challenges. Explain benefits of SolarWinds products and achieve cross-selling.
Perform advanced troubleshooting techniques on all SolarWinds products. Field escalations to product or development teams.
- Identify product-specific areas for improvement to enhance the evaluation experience.
- Ability to rapidly assimilate and distil complex topics in the form of a presentation
- Conduct detailed, online technical deep-dive demonstrations and webinars, while effectively promoting product features, answering audience questions, and clearly ascertaining the prospect’s needs and requirements.
- Deliver training, in-person or via technical webinars, on new and updated products to pre-sales, other staff, partner and global service integrators.
- Travel locally, nationally, and internationally for trade shows, customer and partner visits, and headquarters visits.
- Extensive experience working with global service integrators (GSI) and managed service providers (MSP) is required.

Qualifications:

- BS/BA or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education/experience.
- 5+ years’ experience working with Network, Cloud and Database technologies are required.
- Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies required.
- Must have excellent reasoning and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills are critical for this position.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- A strong mix of technical ability, sales and customer interaction skills are required.
- Prior experience in a similar pre-sales or technical role within a software vendor or a preferred partner/systems integrator.
- TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to travel 10%
