**Purpose of this role**:
The PPS Engineer role is to support Production in resolving technical/engineering issues timely so that instrument could be ship out on time to customer. Improving the product quality, cost and cycle time are the main scope of work.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
Provide both on site and off site technical support to the production of AB SCIEX range of products (Mass Spectrometer and High Performance Liquid Chromatography).

Perform process optimization, qualification or/and validation.

Use of DFA and pFMEA principles to reduce manufacturing cycle time and improve product quality.

Lead cost and FPY/internal dppm improvement projects.

Provide value engineering in re-engineering of the process or material to reduce cost and improve quality.

New Product Introduction support - leading and resolving engineering issues in Pilot Build and Mass Production Build.

Product transfer support & ensure transferring of knowledge from other facilities on design, functional specifications, manufacturing line set up, processes, tooling, fixtures & other related areas.

Review, approve and implement Engineering Change Order with no impact to quality and delivery.

As Technical Consultant, provide training to the engineers and team

Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures and guidelines

Why you?

**Basic Qualifications**:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Hands-on experience of assembly of precision parts, tolerance stack up, measurement of ‘micron’ parts, GD&T/MSA/pFMEA and with some material and systems engineering experience.

Experience with 3D CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Design for Manufacturing / Assembly / Test (DFx) concepts & tolerance fit analysis.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
**If you have the following experiences, it would be a plus**:
Experience with high precision mechanical alignment and motion controls, optics knowledge preferred for Bioanalytical Measurement systems but not necessary.

Good understanding of requirements for parts used in vacuum system and vacuum pump system knowledge will be added advantage
