Singapore CONCENTRATE MANUFACTURING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. Full time

Primary responsibilities of this role is to manage day-to-day Sensory lab operations, include planning, organize and perform routine QC analysis of incoming material, in-process and finished process samples in accordance to documented testing methodology. The job holder is also responsible for making daily decisions on any QC results where problem solving skill is required to ensure only true results are accepted which could have a minor impact on the business. The job holder is also required to be proactively identify and initiate continuous improvements to process and systems used within QC.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for day-to-day Sensory laboratory operations, complying with PGCS & Plant procedures
- Provide accurate and timely disposition of all raw, in-process and finished products Sensory results in accordance with the Company's acceptance or rejection criteria
- Conduct on-going training to panelists to ensure 99% calibration score and PASS proficiency analysis.
- Liaise with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to manage priorities and balance lab capacity with demand
- Support Order-to-Delivery fulfilment by ensuring efficient turnaround analysis time
- Ensure all laboratory records are kept in accordance with the Company's protocol
- Prepare reagents and solutions as required. Responsible for isolating and communicating any rejected or placed on-hold batches to both operations and plant management
- Troubleshoot issues and carry out investigations during Sensory non-conformances.
- Prioritize and perform various testing and analysis in timely manner in order to support the business requirements
- General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory of supplies, lab supplies ordering, management of glassware, and etc.
- Responsible for the exercising of maximum care, good judgment and behavior in preventing EHS incidents
- Process owner for: Control sample management & Vendor Non-conformance Management relevant to Raw material Sensory
- Drive best practice - sharing, standardization and harmonization of programs and practices implemented in other PGCS plants
- Train as back-up for key lab roles
- Any other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

**PRE-REQUISITES**

**Education or Professional Certifications**
- Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry or equivalent in any other related discipline
- Certified Sensory panellist (or) leader/analyst is an advantage

**Experience**
- At least 2 years’ in Sensory lab operations experience in FMCG (or) External lab operations
- Basic knowledge with GMP / Food safety quality standards - HACCP and FSSC 22K
- Experience in SAP - QM module
- Excellent Sensory knowledge & its background science
- Problem solving methods & troubleshooting skills
