Job Description Summary: The Payment Solutions team is responsible for creating world class payment solutions for over 419 million customers and 35 million merchants globally. Our mission is to create seamless payment solutions that help our merchants grow their business in a safe and reliable way as well as enabling consumers the ability to pay how and wherever they want. The scope spans geographies and payment types, enabling some of the largest and most complex use cases. In addition, this team is responsible for designing, building and deploying the platform while working closely working with engineering and business stakeholders. Payment Platform Product management team is looking for an experienced Lead Technical Product Manager for building and managing a scalable, reliable and performant payment processing and data platform. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of technical teams within PayPal as well as the various Business units to understand, strategize and build a platform that is highest in standards of reliability, performance and scale. The role involves collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deeply understand, tackle and resolve technical challenges and issues around global payment processing. You will be part of a team that is critical to the entire lifecycle of money movement at PayPal. The Payments Product team at PayPal is responsible for building and managing the payments experiences, including core payment processing, for buyers and sellers around the world. **Job Description**: - Driving product vision and strategy in developing a universe class Payment platform that has 5 9’s availability, can process payments under a second and scale in a cost effective fashion. - Drive product vision and strategy for Payments data ensuring integrity, quality and accuracy of data and associated services that serves the entire back office function at PayPal. - Devise, drive and execute a clear Payment servicing strategy that includes building tools, dashboards providing engineers, product managers clear insights on Payment platform health. Work towards a strategy of making the services available to Payment platform clients with the goal of providing transparency in servicing level metrics. - Ensure product vision and requirements are defined globally, with long-term and scale in mind. - Clearly solicit feedback and distill vision, strategy, product benefits and results to our internal customers. - Representing the products to stakeholders and to peers across PayPal. - Evangelizing product roadmap internally and externally in informal and formal settings - Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights. - Write clear, detailed, and thorough specifications and user stories for complex features, functionality and products. - Participate in the QA process to ensure the final product meets the business design. - Lead a team of product managers and guide them on execution of payment platform goals - Working cross-functionally and build strong relationships with key customers (PMs from across the organization, software engineers, product analytics and other business teams) that will allow understand gaps and build the right solutions. - Monitor impact of product features and key metrics. - Troubleshoot product issues and answer product questions - Defining and measuring key performance indicators to evaluate and understand product value. - Identifying new opportunities based on research, industry trends and best practices, driving innovation. Job Requirements - Experience in Payments, e-Commerce or Online Banking is ideal. - Experience with Agile development as a product owner for a scrum team, design thinking and customer centric approach is preferred. - "Driving capabilities" - taking initiative, persevering through challenges, constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration, driving consensus and delivering in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders. - Strong writing skills and ability to converse with technical and non-technical personnel fluently, articulating complex business factors, progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner to all levels and functions. - Strong analytical ability, attention to details and data-driven decision making ability. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, handling multiple priorities concurrently with mínimal guidance is a must. - Deep desire to grow and learn and passion for PayPal’s vision to democratize money. - Coach, mentor and develop the PMs, help them grow at PayPa
