[What the role is]

You will be working in the School of Design & Media to support the art & design foundation modules in Polytechnic Foundation Programme and Common Design & Media Programme:

- Develop curriculum, deliver courses related to the polytechnic foundation program (design & media cluster)
- Coach, mentor learners and actively engage in learner development activities
- Lead and facilitate local or overseas student exchanges and study trips in both online and in-person modes
- Assist in outreach activities for both online and in-person modes
- Provide academic administration and develop online learning materials

**[What you will be working on]**
- Develop curriculum and deliver course contents including curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, mentoring of students and providing pre-course, in-course and post-course advice related to polytechnic foundation programme (design & media cluster).
- Enhance the quality of lesson plans and delivery through the implementation of engaging and effective teaching and learning strategies and methods, including the design of learning experiences and blended learning strategies.
- Evaluate curriculum design, development, course delivery and assessment to enhance teaching & learning effectiveness.
- Provide academic administration and development of online learning materials.
- Develop and plan training curriculum for Pre-employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes.
- Lead and facilitate in developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including media competitions and festivals.
- Coach and guide learners and facilitate in all-rounder learner development activities as a personal mentor and provide pastoral care and support in career guidance.
- Lead and facilitate in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management) as and when required.
- Lead and facilitate in local and overseas student exchanges and study trips for both online and in-person modes where practicable.
- Embrace continuous learning and stay current and responsive to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**[What we are looking for]**

- Relevant qualification in Applied Arts / Fine Arts / Art Education / Digital Arts / Design & Media or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Applied Arts / Design / Art Education
- Knowledgeable in areas such as design thinking, observational drawing, painting, colour & design, visual storytelling & 2D digital art.
- Preferably Proficient in software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
- Passionate in nurturing the next generation of multidisciplinary designers and artists.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, adapt, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to people manage with pastoral care and empathy.
- Good communication, interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.
