Self-perform and supervise E&I workforces, E&I supervision, material takeoff, coordinates materials and change orders, expedites material on the job, prepares cost estimates, compiles, and analyzes production and cost statistics. This position also provides support for field operations and commission of equipment.
- Responsible for knowledge of all applicable portions of the project's safety, company policies, contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work as assigned by a project supervisor.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the project master schedule using CPM techniques and appropriate scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.
- Prepare submittals (materials, vendors) that will be transmitted to client for approval by the project's lead coordinator/engineer.
- Write requisitions and follow up with suppliers to expedite deliveries, as assigned by a supervisor.
- Monitor receiving, warehousing functions, and material control.
- Manage subcontracts as assigned by a supervisor.
- Perform field estimating for change orders and other scope-of-work adjustments.
- Look for ways to improve project operations; submit ideas to supervisor.
- Resolve contractor raised queries in conjunction with technical support group, raise and close out engineering queries as applicable.
- Witness any testing as required in the codes and standards.
- Compile punch lists in conjunction with the contractor and client.
- Carry out inspections, site surveys and dimensional checks to ensure electrical & instrumentation installations are as design drawings and specifications and comply with project specifications. Complete applicable QA/QC forms for electrical & instrumentation installations.
- Ensure that the required as-built/red-line drawings are compiled and maintained as required by the project procedures.
- Ensure work is completed as per specification and drawings, and that the requirements of engineering queries are incorporated.
- Ensure that a preservation and maintenance schedule has been compiled and that all equipment listed is preserved and maintained in accordance with the guaranteed requirement of all vendors.
- Implement and maintain the project assured grounding program.
- Perform electrical calculations in accordance with the NEC for wire sizing, transformers/panels, conduit sizes, cable trays, etc.
- Generate and review subcontractor packages
- Develop, review and manage E&I tracking, RFI, requisitions, change orders, purchase orders, and cable reel log.
- Build and review system component packages, perform system walk-downs, and transmit to Start-Up.
- Support training NCCER, state licensing programs, safety programs and company programs.
- Review and comply with company policies.
- Maintain Tool Log, Equipment Log.
- In addition, perform any other job-specific duties as requested by supervisor.
