**Function Overview**

Group Data Office (GDO) is the Group Central Data and Analytics arm that works closely with the Group Businesses and Group Corporate functions to enable the execution Nomura Group Strategy through Robust Data Standards & Governance, Actionable Performance Metrics & MIS, and High Impact Information and Analytics Products and Solution.

**Job Purpose**:
Business-focused analyst role to design and deliver information products and solution to solve business problems, and to support the company’s Cloud operationalization effort to enable digital transformation programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Be a major contributor to Nomura’s data strategy. **Support the GDO operationalize team in the design and delivery of information products and solutions to achieve business outcomes for Nomura’s business and functions.
- **Support the enablement of Nomura Cloud framework. **Contribute to the design and implementation of Cloud framework standards, guidelines and operating models including tools / solutions to enable automated and scalable risk management and controls.
- **Trusted partner. **Exceptional collaborator, engage stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance business. Assist in the business development and execution of data projects, from brainstorming, project management, testing and the delivery of final products or services.

**Qualification & Core Skills requirement**:

- Have a full time degree as your educational qualification with 3 years or above working experience in data related roles in the banking or other industries.
- Good understanding of Cloud computing concepts, data protection policies and frameworks.
- Technical hands-on knowledge of data analytics. Coding skills (R, Python, Excel VBA) is a plus.
- Possess strong analytical capabilities with logical and creative thinking mindset.
- Able to demonstrate effective time management and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent team player. Able to work well with colleagues and stakeholders across different geographical locations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
