Zendesk is looking for a **Software Engineer**to join the Agent Workspace Messaging Team in Singapore. You'll help build a next-generation messaging platform that empowers customers to deliver exceptional user experiences, working toward an omni-channel customer engagement product.

**What you'll do**:

- Contribute to the everyday development of Zendesk's product suite
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and developing standard operating procedures
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and conduct peer code reviews
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement technical designs
- Investigate and adopt new technologies where relevant
- Create written knowledge transfer materials

**What you bring**:

- Proven software engineering experience with capabilities in Java, Python, Ruby, or Go
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, Node.JS, and React
- Functional understanding of web technologies and frontend-backend interactions
- Good command of data structures and algorithms
- Passion for solving real-world problems with a customer-first mindset
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or active learning initiatives are a plus

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
