We are looking for a Principal Technical Director for our FC Mobile team.

As a key member of the team, you need to have a strong mix of technical and management experience in the video game industry. A rich mobile experience is required. As the franchise TD, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the project TDs to help solve the technical issues, drive and support best practices and help to build the technical visions for the FC Mobile games, core engine, and services.

You will lead the engineering team and tech ops team across the group. It is important for you to define and build the engineering culture that crosses the function boundaries. You will need to keep communicating and feedback to the team, help to bring in the technical experience and experts to drive the realization of the tech visions.

As a principal TD, you will become the technical contact point of the FC Mobile team, for both internal and external. You need to drive both internal and 3rd parties to close the gaps between teams.

You will need to identify and manage the overall technical risks for the FC Mobile franchise, to support the products' shipping and live operation on time and quality.

You will need to support the COO to expand the FC mobile development team into SEA.

**Responsibilities**
- Recruit and retain the talents to keep growing the engineering team for the FC Mobile team.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor the project TDs.
- Manage the tech ops team to support the live operation for the live products.
- Expand the FC mobile development team into SEA.
- Responsible for technical quality for all FC Mobile products.
- Champion quality and performance. Define uncompromising target metrics and create processes and culture to exceed them.
- Work with project TDs to identify risks and make mitigation plans.
- Oversee the technical development and approve the critical tech decisions.
- Define and enforce the development standards and best practices across the franchise.
- Work with development directors to build an agile culture across the franchise.
- Cooperate with other function leads to manage the changes.
- Communicate technical architecture, strategy, details, and status to non-technical leads.
- Help to build a good reputation in EA studios and help to extend the influence of the team.
- Scouts for and evaluates new technology and tools as opportunities for innovation and development excellence.

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 15 years+ years of software development, including 5+ years in key leadership positions.
- Successfully launched the 1M+ DAU mobile game and operated the live services.
- Own the process and knowledge of mobile game development from scratch to post-launch live operation.
- Broad knowledge and experience in mobile game client and server domains.
- Game engine architecture experience and proficient programming in C++ are required.
- Experience managing engineering teams of 50+ people.
- Effective conflict management skills.
- Experience in balancing technical, team, product, and business requirements.
- Deep understanding of the Scrum process.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin to manage the engineering team in China.
- Self-motivated and problem-solving oriented.
