**Team **S**ummary**
Visa’s Asia Pacific Corporate Strategy team based in Singapore plays a key role in shaping Visa’s long-term strategy in the region and solving for regional and country-specific opportunities and challenges, in partnership with executives and business leaders across Visa’s organization. Recent initiatives have addressed topics such as market strategy, product strategy, multi-year planning, and organic / inorganic growth opportunities across the region. The team is also responsible for developing thought leadership on emerging trends in payments industry.
**What a Senior Director - Marketplace & Competitive Intelligence, Asia does at Visa**:
The Senior Director will be a member of Visa's Strategy Team, leading Marketplace & Competitive Insights. This is **not** an intelligence gathering role. He/she will be responsible for leading corporate strategy projects and developing actionable recommendations in response to marketplace and competitor moves. Projects will span Visa Inc.'s corporate strategy, business development, and corporate strategic initiatives. This role will also support regional business planning needs, monitoring of competitive developments across the region/globally, and development of timely response to emerging trends and opportunities across AP. The position will be based in Singapore with some travel expected.
The Marketplace & Competitive Intelligence Team’s (M&CI) mission:
Create tangible financial impact for Visa by driving better decisions and faster response to global marketplace and competitor moves. Systematically gather and assess information to develop pragmatic insights that drive action and outcomes.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Lead major project workstreams related to Visa Inc.'s corporate strategy, marketplace & competitive intelligence, business development, or corporate initiatives
- Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues. Build out unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa's many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development
- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
- Work closely with cross-functional and regional management teams on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support
- Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way
- Provide continuous coaching and training to strategy teams

The AP Corporate Strategy team is responsible for helping the senior leadership team in setting the strategic agenda for Visa in AP in close alignment with the Global Corporate Strategy. In close alignment with the regional and global leadership team, you will be instrumental in defining, planning and executing long-term strategic priorities that will set Visa (encompassing all our segments, channels and geographies) on a path to create even greater value for Visa’s shareholders.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Economics, Business or similar fields
- MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic / professional experience preferred
- 15+ years of experience in management consulting and/or internal strategy role in a global company
- Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
