Technical Planner, On-wing Services

Rolls-Royce has an excellent opportunity for a technical planner to join our new On-Wing Services (OWS) global planning team based in Singapore. This role represents a fantastic development opportunity and will support the delivery and execution of business-critical engine maintenance within the Rolls-Royce On-Wing Services network worldwide.

Key Accountabilities:
- Co-ordinate all live tasks within the OWS planning tool.- Co-ordinate technical operating instructions between customer and service team for live tasks- Conduct a Technical vet of customer work request- Development, production and publication of technical work instructions between customer and service team for tasks in accordance with Airworthiness regulations- Allocate resource, tools and parts to tasks- Complete task administration as per the work request requirement- Engage with external providers for the provision of resource/capability as required- Co-ordinate delivery and completion of tasks within the OWS Planning tool- Contribute to resolution of customer problems- Process supplier and customer invoices as required- Monitor resource status to ensure availability and capability is matched to business requirements, and escalate accordingly- Lead the development and maintenance of standard engine templates utilising analysis and scenarios for optimisation. Also providing management information, analysis and reporting as required.- Agree the scope of tasks with customers or customer teams- Incorporation of agreed audit plans into work schedules- Assist the business as required in improving service delivery to ensure optimisation of On Wing Services tasks- Champion key processes/tools or be a recognised technical specialist i.e. Global Scheduler/FSM planning super user.- Act as point of escalation for problem resolution- Work within a resource commit/except process to ensure resource availability when planned work and emergent work arises- Task allocation and prioritisation for team- Developing, maintaining and reporting approved metrics- Ensure that best practice planning principles are used to create and maintain schedules to a high standard to ensure quality and credibility

Job Requirements:
- Strong services and/or technical background- IT literate and comfortable using IT systems and tools for the planning and scheduling of tasks and resources- Experience of planning activities and tasks in a dynamic and pressurised environment to support customer needs professionally, and the ability to work in a calm and efficient manner- Ability to develop good working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally- Customer focused and able to work in a changing environment, being flexible and responsive in approach to deal with requests of the customers and third parties.- Experience of working as a Planner within a Project Team type environment- Good understanding of overall project controls, baseline management and change control- Ability to work with minimum supervision to tight timescales and capable of managing a number of tasks simultaneously, prioritising activity to meet deadlines and achieving high quality outputs on time- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate within a in a broad and complex organisation- Highly organised with the ability to change pace and direction in response to emergent issues, remain calm under changing circumstances and deal positively with uncertainty and ambiguity- Ability to perform shift work
