Resident Physician

As a Resident Physician (RP) at Ang Mo Kio - Thye Hua Kwan Hospital (AMKH), you will be a part of a dedicated team of Medical Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, and Medical Social Workers, and work under the supervision of senior doctors to provide first-line clinical coverage to patients admitted to our community hospital for rehabilitation or subacute care.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducting ward rounds and handling acute medical issues.
- Clerking new patients and preparing discharge summaries.
- Performing ward procedures and staying on-call during night shifts.
- Involving in Quality improvement projects.
- Participate in patient care conferences, unplanned discharge rounds, mortality and morbidity rounds, and multidisciplinary rounds.
**Requirements**:
- A medical degree recognised by **Singapore Medical Council (SMC **)
- Please check your eligibility on the SMC website before applying.
- Full registration with SMC, or be eligible for conditional registration. You can check Conditional Registration eligibility criteria online.
- Possess at least 3 years of post-housemanship working experience as a Medical Officer (or equivalent).
- Experience in family medicine, geriatric medicine, or rehabilitation medicine preferred but not a prerequisite, or have a keen interest in these disciplines.
- Possess post-graduate diploma or degree would be an advantage.
- Currently be in active clinical practice.
- Team player with a passion for caring for the elderly, good bedside manner and patience.
- Positive mindset, collaborative and willing to go the extra mile
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
