Software Engineer Iii, Currencies and Emerging

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), Currencies and Emerging Markets (CEM)Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

**Job responsibilities**
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple domains to identify and design high-impact features
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Work on Pricing and risk related work with traders in Currencies and Emerging Markets (CEM) Asia

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
- Proficiency at least one programming language, and a firm grasp of common data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Familiarity with Python and/or a willingness to work primarily in Python 2.7 and 3.7
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies - Typescript is a plus
- Experience working in an Agile team
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Experience working in Financial Industry
- Working knowledge of Market Data process specifically around curve building supporting Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate derivatives
- Experience with NO SQL Database
