**We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Mechanical Supervisor to join our team** **Responsibilities**: - Ensure adherence to safety regulations, including QP's regulations, project safety plans, and client Qatar's safety and environment protocols. - Foster a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices and protecting the well-being of all personnel. - Manage project work permits and oversee contractor compliance with safety procedures. - Utilize SAP effectively for tasks like managing notifications, work orders, parts ordering, and job history recording. - Participate in cross-training initiatives for existing API personnel. - Demonstrate expertise in inventory and materials management, including control, analysis, lead times, cost analysis, and usage. - Review and manage maintenance contracts. - Develop and implement standardized work procedures to optimize team productivity. - Make informed decisions based on technical knowledge and experience. - Report to the Mechanical Engineer for technical guidance. **Site Responsibilities**: - Verify materials and equipment upon delivery. - Guarantee installations adhere to approved specifications, drawings, and space management plans. - Collaborate with contractors to resolve site coordination issues and propose solutions. Proactively communicate potential design conflicts to the engineering team. - Implement quality control measures for installations in accordance with specifications. - Ensure adherence to established method statements. - Maximize the effectiveness of risk assessments. - Enforce project standard operating procedures. - Identify and report schedule or manpower concerns to the System Engineer, with evaluations of subcontractor performance. - Maintain a safe and clean work environment through regular housekeeping measures. **Communication and Collaboration**: - Collaborate effectively with Construction Management, Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance, Discipline Supervisors, the Mechanical System Engineer, Safety Personnel, Client Representatives, and subcontractor teams. - Coordinate mock-up locations and details. Assist the System Engineer with inspections and obtain approvals from all stakeholders. - Compile and submit Test Packs for System Engineer approval prior to inspections. - Witness and approve pressure testing by subcontractors. **Commissioning and System Completion**: - Oversee pre-testing of equipment and ensure systems are complete (including subsystems) as per deadlines. - Support the System Engineer during equipment turn-on, trial runs, and commissioning, including troubleshooting. - Witness and approve system balancing activities. **Project Completion and Handover**: - Organize, plan, and implement internal punch-listing and clearance procedures as per project protocols. - Assist the System Engineer during client inspections. - Possess a thorough understanding of project scope and drawings for supervised subcontractors. **Qualifications**: - "O" Level, Higher Secondary/Pre-U/A Level/College or Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Engineering (Mechanical/Steel Structure) or a relevant Diploma - Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field - Ability to interpret steel structural, equipment, and pump drawings - Trade Foreman certification - BCSS certification is mandatory; additional construction certifications (lifting supervisor, confined space) are preferred Contract Duration: 1 year Transportation by Company Bus
