Job Purpose.

Create 3D model based on given design AFC drawings / engineer’s sketches by using TEKLA

Structures software. Create all templates according to project requirements, produce 2D shop /

design drawings and generate various types of reports, e.g. MTO, weld list, nc files & etc.

Job Accountabilities

1. Create/check TEKLA 3D model, provide lay-out for the structure for engineer to size

member.

2. Prepare/Check the design drawing if all the member sizes and dimensions required are

given and also check if the design drawing that are related are matching with each other.

3. Provide shop drawing that is detailed and easy to understand and issue it ahead of

schedule.

4. Update & As-built 3d model based on the latest drawing using TEKLA Structures

software.

5. TEKLA Modelling
- Interference checking on Structural drawings against piping support,

mechanical equipment and instrumentation.

6. Prepare Material Take-off for procurement based on design and shop drawings.

7. Keep track of internal registers of drawings issued and queries from site fabrication team

Knowledge and skills

Knowledge of various CAD design software, e.g. TEKLA Structures, E3D & AutoCAD.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of international standards with regards to drawing

production.

Minimum 5 years on Offshore platform / steel fabrication industries.

Physically fit for outdoor fabrication site inspection and problem solving.
