The Vice Principal is a key member in the leadership team, and together with the Principal, will be responsible in leading the team in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities to meet the following:
**A) **Job Role**:

- Uphold MPSPL's vision and mission in quality preschool education by providing curriculum leadership
- Ensure smooth operations of the centre that include effective and efficient use of financial and manpower resources.
- Promote partnerships with stakeholders of early childhood education, i.e. families, community partners and the local church in the desired outcomes of children’s preschool education.
- Work with HQ in introducing and executing new curroculum

**B) **Duties and Responsibilities**

**1. **Curriculum & Pedagogy**

a. Implement evidence-based teaching in the planning and delivering a holistic and integrated curriculum.

b. Ensure processes are in place to monitor, mentor, assess and review the quality of the teaching by teaching staff

c. Mentor and guide teachers in implementing and executing new curricum and/or programs

**2. **Operations and Resource Planning**

a. Oversee the operational readiness, safety and hygiene of the Centre.

b. timetabling of teaching staff including planning and deployment of substitute/ relief teachers, shifts and provide coverage of absent staff when required

c. Ensure the compliance of licensing and regulatory requirements.

d. Work with the HQ marketing team to achieve optimal student enrolment

**3. **Family and Community Partnerships**

a. Develop strategies to build strong home-school partnerships with families.

b. Promote a centre-wide culture of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

c. Uphold a quality image of the company to the public.

**4. **HR and Staff Development**

a. Motivate staff to work towards the HQ & centre's goals and, support them in continual learning and professional development.

b. Assist with recruitment and selection of teaching staff

c. Promote a workplace culture of care, respect, trust, and teamwork.

**C) Job Specifications**
- Degree/ Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Leadership), L2 ECDA-certified with teaching experience

' Working experience in a childcare setting
- Able to implement a curriculum based on Christian values
- Excellent language skills; written and spoken
- Inspiring with positive mindset towards innovation
- Knowledge of IT, financial and budget management
- Strong communication, organizational and supervisory skills
