The Credit Control Officer is responsible for managing the credit control function of the company, ensuring that invoices are paid on time and managing any overdue accounts. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the company’s credit control function, including ensuring invoices are issued on time and following up on any overdue payments
- Monitor and manage credit limits for customers to ensure they are appropriate and in line with company policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices
- Negotiate payment plans with customers where necessary and maintain accurate records of any agreements made
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise with customer accounts, such as billing disputes or credit notes
- Liaise with other departments within the company, such as sales and customer service, to ensure a coordinated approach to credit control
- Produce regular reports on the status of customer accounts and credit control activity for management review
- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation or industry standards related to credit control
- Undertake any other duties as required by the company

Qualifications and Experience:

- 2-3 years of experience in credit control or related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Google Sheets
