Attend progress meeting or adhoc meeting as required.
- Advise Management and Project Manager on relevant Acts and Legislation pertaining to environmental and health.
- Plan and work out the environmental management system and programme for the site including the monitoring programme according to the contract specification and obligation.
- Implement the company and site environmental programme, conduct review and make recommendation for improvement.
- Liaise with license pest operator or agent.
- Conduct regular site inspection on ECM, perimeter drainage system, silt facilities and housekeeping to ensure that there is no potential vector or pest breeding.
- Work together with the WSHO and WSHC to discuss findings and recommend measures to correct non-compliances and to verify the action taken.
- Conduct investigation on industrial diseases, pest infested area and implement measure to stop its spread and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare fortnightly report to Project manager and Management on Environmental control.
- Conduct environmental and health related talks, training and promotion to workers, supervisors, engineers and managers.
- Liaise with relevant authorities on environmental and health issues.
- Implement Company and Project based procedures to comply with ISO 9001; 14001; OHSAS 18001 standard requirements, documented procedures as well as client, companies, authorities’ requirements.
- Any other related duties assigned by superior from time to time.
