The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and innovative Technical Director to join our Energy business in Singapore. In this role you’ll be responsible for leading and managing the project and technical deliverables of the Energy projects. Projects varied from renewables, energy-transition, bioenergy, biomass, waste-to-energy, power plants, onshore/offshore and underground infrastructure developments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Leading and managing the project and technical deliverables of the Energy projects, to achieve the project targets and KPIs.
- Leading project and technical teams in feasibility studies, concept, FEED and detailed designs to clients and stakeholders
- Managing clients and key stakeholders in project deliverables
- Leading and carry out authorities’ pre-consultation, submissions and liaison with authorities for necessary approvals
- Supporting the Energy business operation activities including business development and prospecting
- Supporting business development team in preparation of tender bids and presentations, and engagements with prospects
- Supporting the sub-sector leaders in formulation of strategic business plans.
- Developing & supporting project planning activities from initial business development stages to final delivery implementation

About You

Suitable applicants will be/have:

- Degree in Engineering from a recognized University and with at least 15 years of experience in managing and design engineering of plants, energy-related projects, marine and infrastructure projects
- Professional engineering or chartered engineering certification
- Experience in power plants, infrastructure and marine facilities’ design would be an added advantage.
- Conversant in local Singapore Codes, Eurocodes, BS Codes, NFPA, API
- Conversant with local authorities’ requirement and submission
- Able to perform feasibility study, conceptual, FEED and detailed design using commercial software, excel spreadsheet, etc.
- Able to lead diversified and multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Able to project manage assigned projects independently and possess strong presentation, communication and report writing skills
- Good spoken and written English
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese would be an advantage
