**Position Summary**

We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on **Quality Assurance (QA) Manager** to lead our QA function at Embed Solutions Group. In this important leadership role, you will not only manage and mentor a growing QA team but also drive the strategic evolution of our quality practices, from manual to automated testing, while ensuring our products consistently meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, user experience and release cadence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Lead and transform QA operations**: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team—including team leads—while actively participating in testing when needed to unblock progress or set examples.
- **Drive test automation strategy**: Spearhead the transition from manual to automated testing by designing, implementing, and scaling robust, maintainable test automation frameworks (Selenium, Katalon, Tricentis) and CI/CD-integrated pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps).
- **Centralize QA practices**: Standardize testing methodologies, tools (JIRA, TestRail), and quality metrics across internal teams and **external/vendor QA resources**, ensuring consistency, visibility, and accountability.
- **Develop and enforce quality standards**: Establish clear QA policies, test strategies, and quality gates aligned with Agile/Scrum and SDLC best practices.
- **Collaborate cross-functionally**: Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to embed quality early in the development lifecycle and respond rapidly to feedback.
- **Monitor and improve quality outcomes**: Track defect trends, test coverage, release readiness, and other KPIs; conduct root cause analyses and implement preventive actions.
- **Champion continuous improvement**: Identify opportunities to adopt new tools (e.g., cloud-based testing on AWS/Azure, performance tools like JMeter), refine processes, and upskill the team through coaching and structured training.
- **Ensure compliance and excellence**: Maintain adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISTQB principles), regulatory requirements, and internal quality policies.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- **5+ years of QA experience**, including **at least 2 years in a management or leadership role**.
- **Proven success in leading the transition from manual to automated testing**, including building/maintaining automated test suites and integrating them into CI/CD workflows.
- Demonstrated experience **managing both internal and external QA teams**, with a focus on alignment, performance, and delivery.
- Strong hands-on expertise with test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, QTP/UFT, etc.), scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript), and test management platforms (JIRA, TestRail).
- Experience in performance, load, and security testing.
- Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and hybrid development methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills—with the ability to influence without authority.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for data-driven quality decisions

**Preferred qualification**:

- Master’s degree in a relevant field or certifications such as ISTQB Advanced, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with database testing (MSSQL, Postgres, NoSQL like DynamoDB) and DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of quality and security compliance requirements in regulated markets, including India.
